Rural Utilities Service (RUS) improves the quality of life in rural America by administering electrification, telecommunications, and water and waste disposal loans, grants and technical assistance programs in a service-oriented, forward-looking, and financially responsible manner. These programs serve to develop and maintain the basic infrastructure that is vital for health, education, and economic development in rural America.
